Dr. Tuan Doan, affectionately known as Dr. "David" among his patients, is a Southern California native with a deep passion for dentistry. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from the University of California, Irvine, and subsequently, his Doctorate of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of California, San Francisco. Following this, Dr. David completed a prestigious one-year residency program at the McClellan Air Force Base in Sacramento.
Having grown up in Southern California, it was Dr. David's lifelong dream to practice dentistry in the region. After six years of diverse experience in various demographic settings across Southern California, he has found his primary professional home in Norwalk. Acquiring the practice from the esteemed Dr. Michael Barmé, a seasoned dentist with over 50 years of experience, Dr. David expanded his expertise beyond general dentistry. His commitment to incorporating cutting-edge technology while maintaining a warm and welcoming office atmosphere mirrors his vision—a place where patients can address their dental health needs while feeling more at ease than in a traditional dental setting.
Dr. David is dedicated to offering a comprehensive understanding of his patients' needs. Taking the time to educate individuals about their oral health, he discusses various options, detailing the risks and benefits associated with each. Known for his exceptional chairside manners and a gentle touch, Dr. David ensures a comfortable and informed experience for every patient.

On a personal note, Dr. David has been happily married to his wife, Victoria, for over five years. Together, they are raising two young children who keep life both busy and incredibly rewarding. Their son, now three, is becoming quite the talker—known for his witty remarks and clever comebacks, often leaving Dr. David and Victoria amused and wondering where he learned such timing. Their daughter, almost two, is already walking with confidence and determination, effortlessly winning people over with her innocent, wholesome expressions while making it very clear what she wants.
The family is also completed by two adopted dogs: Koda, who resembles Lady and the Tramp, and Oakley, a lovable golden retriever who has never quite understood the concept of personal space.
Being a husband and father has strongly shaped Dr. David’s approach to dentistry, reinforcing the importance of patience, empathy, and trust. He understands that visiting the dentist can be a vulnerable experience, and he strives to create a calm, welcoming environment where patients feel heard, respected, and genuinely cared for.
Outside the office, Dr. David enjoys snowboarding, motorcycling, biking, hiking, traveling, tennis, billiards, and all things automotive. Whether spending time with his family or caring for his patients, Dr. David is committed to providing thoughtful, honest care and building lasting relationships—so every patient feels confident they are in good hands.
